Unit one
08A-4 Skyhawk, primary. Lead aircraft in every sortie.
Entry 08 in the Jet World Championship. Two A-4 Skyhawks, two pilots, two gamers, fourteen rounds from February 2029.
Doha, Lusail. Opening ceremony Thursday 22 February 2029, Grand Battle Sunday 25 February.
Full calendarEvery team fields exactly two. Each one is an aircraft, the pilot flying it, and the gamer who runs the electronic combat system from the ground. A hit scores for all three. A hit taken costs all three.
A-4 Skyhawk, primary. Lead aircraft in every sortie.
A-4 Skyhawk, primary. Wing aircraft, and the one that usually gets the shot.
A third Skyhawk is registered as the replacement aircraft. Under the rules it can only be activated if a primary sustains irreparable damage, confirmed in writing by the inspection team, so it is not a rotation and you will not see it fly unless something has gone badly wrong.

In a dogfight there are three ways to chase. Lead pursuit points the nose ahead of the target and closes fast. Pure pursuit points straight at it. Lag pursuit points behind it, gives up range, and keeps the position.
Most of the grid will fly lead, because lead gets the shot quickest and the scoreboard rewards hits. We think the scoreboard also punishes them, one point for every hit taken, and that a team which refuses to overshoot gives up fewer of those than it gains. The brackets in the logo are the lock symbol on a head-up display. They only appear once you are behind.
See it on the HUDOne title position on the nose and the gamer's chest, three primary positions, five associates, six digital and regional slots. Pricing on request.
The inventoryPilot seats need a Commercial Pilot Certificate, a jet type rating, an ICAS ACE card at Level 4 with the dogfight endorsement, and a Class I or II medical. Gamer seats are decided at the open trials.
Seats and requirementsTickets are sold by the championship, round by round. The team paddock pass is ours, and goes on sale with the Doha allocation.
The paddockSeventeen people. Four of them compete, one of them decides, and the rest make sure two Skyhawks are on the ramp by Wednesday 16:00 at every round.

The gamer runs the electronic combat system from the AJC-provided station on the ground and is scored exactly like the pilot. We do not recruit from a league. We select at our own open trials, in JWC Combat, which is free, and nothing you can buy in it changes a result.

Declared airframe for Season 2029: the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk. Small, light on the controls, and built to turn. The declaration is fixed for the season under rule 11.3 and confirmed at the pre-season compliance inspection.

Figures are type-representative and will be replaced by each airframe's own data sheet once the three aircraft are surveyed.

The replacement airframe carries the brackets and nothing inside them. It takes a number only if an inspector signs off irreparable damage to a primary, which under the rules is the sole reason it can be activated. Until then it travels, gets inspected, and waits.

Two other entries run the same type, so this is not a secret. It is a choice. The Skyhawk is the smallest airframe on the grid and the lightest, which means it bleeds less energy in a turn and gets back to the inside of a fight faster than anything bigger. That is the whole lag-pursuit argument in a sentence.
It also means our demilitarised, civil-registered aircraft fit the freight pallet without folding, go through the pre-event inspection in a morning, and can be ferried between the paired rounds, Doha to Abu Dhabi, London to Paris, Mexico City to Monterey, on their own wings.
Pyrotechnic hit indicators are supplied and installed by AJC at each round. The HOTAS VHF radio is ours and is mandatory. Fuel at events is provided by the championship; ferry fuel is on us.
A simulated engagement on the championship's electronic combat system, seen from Unit one's head-up display. Pick an opponent, set the speed, and watch what lag pursuit looks like when it works and when it doesn't.

Simulation only. Hit scoring follows the rulebook, plus one for a hit on an opponent and minus one for a hit taken, but the flying is a model, not telemetry. Live data arrives with the championship's broadcast feed in 2029.
Each Competition Unit carries a transmitter and a receiver. A confirmed hit on an opponent is one point to the unit that made it. A hit sustained is one point off. Teams can finish a round, or a season, below zero, and some will.
Points go to the team, and to the pilot and gamer individually. The season produces a World Championship for teams, a world title for the best pilot and one for the best gamer, an Airframe Award, and a Grand Battle prize at every round for the pair with the highest score that Sunday. If two teams tie on points at the final round, a sudden-death sortie decides it before anyone leaves the venue.
Season 2029. Fourteen rounds on five continents, opening in Doha after Eid and closing in Miami the weekend before Thanksgiving. One freight break on 1 September. Dates are the published working draft and confirm with the sporting regulations.
Every round runs the same four days. The date shown is the Grand Battle, Sunday.
Aircraft already on site since Wednesday 16:00. Opening ceremony. The day to be in the Paddock Club if you want to hear anyone.
Practice. Compliance inspection signed off, combat system range-checked, both units fly.
Qualifying. Decides the Sunday bracket. Sky Village open from the morning.
The Grand Battle. Points, the round's prize for the best pair, and the standings afterwards.
Three launch events before Season 1, run as one freight loop. Doha on 12 and 13 February, Paris on 3 and 4 June, and Monterey at Laguna Seca on 23 and 24 September, where the tour ends and the fleet winters for homologation. We will fly all three.
Season 2029 has not started. This is the entry list in grid order; everyone is on zero until Doha.

Gap is the figure in the header: points between us and first place. It shows a dash until the first hit of the season has been scored.
A team gives a partner a name, a livery, two pilots, two gamers and a result every Sunday. The championship gives category exclusivity and the Official JWC designation, which we cannot grant at any price. Both are worth having. Here is ours.

Pricing is discussed directly with the commercial director and is not published. Any category held by a championship exclusive must be cleared with JWC Holdings first; check the register before we talk, it is faster than unwinding a signed deal.
Commercial enquiries go to the commercial director. We reply within two working days.
Team kit opens with the Doha allocation. Six pieces to start: four garments and a print of each aircraft, all in the team's own green and bone.

Orders open with the Season 2029 ticket allocation. Leave an email on the contact page and you will hear first.
Commercial, media, athlete seats and the shop. One form, routed to the right person.
Our hospitality at every round sits beside the aircraft, not in a grandstand. Guests meet the pilots and gamers on Thursday, watch the inspection on Friday and the Grand Battle on Sunday from the team's side of the corridor.
The team's evening. Opening ceremony, then dinner at the paddock with both units parked outside. The night to bring the people who matter; it is the only quiet one.
Practice. Guests walk the aircraft with the chief inspector before the compliance sign-off, then watch both units fly from the paddock terrace.
Qualifying and the Sky Village. The strategist briefs guests on the Sunday bracket after the session.
The Grand Battle from the team suite, with the gamer station's feed on screen and the pilots back in the paddock after the last sortie.
Round-by-round or for the season. Season hosts keep the same suite and the same host at every round, which is the point: a fixed address the whole company can plan around. The marquee rounds, Doha and Miami, fill from the corridor side first, so if that placement matters the conversation is worth having early.
Tickets and championship hospitality are sold by the championship. Team paddock places are sold by us and routed through the commercial director. Pricing is per market and quoted directly.
